IGT Given First Responsible Gaming Accreditation Ever
International Gaming Technology (IGT) Interactive is one of the leading game software providers both online and at land-based casinos. With hundreds of innovations and games, the firm can now add a new award to their collection. The gaming supplier has been awarded the first-ever responsible gaming accreditation by the Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4).
The award-winning firm was assessed by G4 according to requirements like responsible gaming information screens, gaming session limits, back office systems, and in-game reality checking/time checks. So, you’re probably wondering what qualifies G4 to award a certification. Well, G4 is described as ‘a group of international experts’ who specialise in problem gambling and responsible gaming.
Responsible Gaming Accreditation
Part of G4’s mission is to ‘minimise the impact of problem gambling’ by working with operators to improve their approach to gambling addiction. This global initiative will then accredit operators who go out of their way to meet these goals. Now, the system is fairly new, but they are making waves for casino players across six continents.
The responsible gaming accreditation was awarded to IGT’s land-based casino and lottery segments by G4. IGT Interactive is based in Las Vegas, and has been supplying gaming machines to casinos since 1975. Additionally, their online casino games are world famous, and can be found at all top NZ online casinos.
IGT Interactive Innovations
Renato Ascoli, the CEO of IGT North America, gave a statement about the accreditation. He said that the company partners with operators from all over to ‘create solutions that help our customers protect their players.’ Added to this, Mr Ascoli said that the supplier ‘prides itself as an industry pioneer.’ More so, he feels that the certification allows IGT to lead the way for responsible gaming.
Responsible gaming seems to be a focus for many other gambling operators and suppliers, like Mr Green and Co. The operator has recently been testing out a ‘predictive gambling tool’ to help their players identify their gambling habits. So, it’s an exciting time for NZ online casino players and other gamblers to monitor themselves.
